PRESS RELEASE: MākuSafe Announces New Executive Hire; Todd Sutphen

West Des Moines, IA – MākuSafe recently announced the hire of Todd Sutphen as Vice President of Sales and Customer Success. This is a new role for the growing company with oversight of the operations of the Sales and Account Management teams. Todd is a proven enterprise sales executive who comes with a tremendous amount of leadership experience.

Todd joined the MākuSafe team in October 2022 with over 30 years of technology solutions and sales leadership experience. Prior to joining MākuSafe, he held various client relationship and sales leadership roles at a global information technology provider, and with IT services provider and technology resellers. He led extended teams in selling to and supporting both midsize and enterprise clients in industries such as State Government, Utilities, Manufacturing, Transportation, and Financial Services. In previous roles Todd was responsible for growing recurring “as-a-service” business lines.
Sutphen will be focused on expanding the adoption of the MākuSafe solution by new and existing clients, and in turn contributing to them sending their people home safely every day. “I’m truly looking forward to the opportunity to help lead MākuSafe and to support clients and partners from a wide variety of industries. We have a great team; listening to our clients and helping solve business challenges will continue to be a key to our success!”, says Sutphen. Todd also believes in the value of having resellers and solution integrators as part of an overall go-to-market strategy to complement direct sales.
Todd and his wife, Valerie, enjoy spending time with their family, traveling, hiking, and other outdoor activities. They also volunteer with the young adult ministry at their church and organizations that serve disadvantaged youth and refugee children in the Des Moines area.
In addition to Todd’s recent hire, MākuSafe has added to its continually growing team with the addition of several new hires in the past 18 months. These new team members include three software developers; Jaidin Medina, Alex Paulson and Sean Preininger and two Account Managers; Leah Appelgate, COSS, and Amanda Rigg, COSS and Kevin Carney, Firmware Developer.
