FAQs
Do you collect personal information about employees?
No. Our wearable core device, the MākuSafe Ally, does not monitor anything biometric/personal/HIPAA covered about the wearer. We are on the upper arm of an employee “looking outward” at the environmental conditions (i.e. ambient air temperature, humidity, air quality, light levels, noise, etc.) that surround him/her.
Can the MākuSafe Workforce Wearables be used as a “man down/life-saving” device?
No, MākuSafe is NOT designed to be used as a “man down/life-saving” device. Instead, the core device collects data that equips safety managers with the leading indicator information they need to prevent an injury before it happens.
How long will set up and installation take?
Depending on your facility or work area size and the amount of equipment being installed, setup and installation should take only a few hours.
If you require multiple Base Stations, and an above average amount of equipment, the installation time will vary.
What kind of data is my wearable gathering?
The MākuSafe Ally device gathers and transmits four types of data in real-time:
- Multiple environmental conditions around the worker including, heat, heat index, sound exposure, air quality, and more.
- Slips/Trips/Falls, repetitive motion, and high-force or accelerated movement such as forceful push/pull experienced by or performed by the worker, as well as overall physicality of and ergonomic risk associated with performing work.
- The location where indicators are occurring.
- MyVoice push-to-talk voice communication from the worker about what they observe or conditions they are experiencing.
