Mark Frederick, COSS, Chief Technology Officer, Co-Founder

Before joining the MākuSafe® team, Mark Frederick served as a cloud computing expert for one of the world’s largest technology companies, with over 25 years of deep technical experience.

Mark spent the first part of his career developing software in the manufacturing space and consulted as a technical specialist with many Fortune 100 companies. He also spent many years consulting as a technical lead, project manager and program manager on large strategic initiatives. Mark has extensive technical knowledge with years of practical experience in electronics, including embedded systems, sensor technology and Internet of Things (IoT).

As CTO, Mark leads the design, development and delivery of MākuSafe’s high-tech stack of hardware, embedded systems and cloud software solutions.  He’s surrounded by domain experts and loves the chance to work shoulder-to-shoulder with MākuSafe’s extremely bright technology teams.

Mark is a Computer Science graduate of Northwestern College, he volunteers with local and international charities and sits on the board of an organization that provides technology and training to underprivileged kids. Mark is also a Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS).
