MākuSafe featured in Inc. Magazine
July 9, 2026
As extreme heat continues to impact workplaces across North America, it’s encouraging to see the conversation shifting from reacting to heat illness to preventing it before it happens.
We’re honored to see MākuSafe featured in a recent Inc. Magazine article exploring how organizations are using wearable technology to address heat-related risks in the workplace. The article highlights a reality many safety leaders know well: a worker can appear fine right up until the moment they’re not.
At MākuSafe, we’ve taken a different approach to heat safety. Rather than monitoring the worker’s body, we focus on understanding the conditions surrounding the worker—the heat, humidity, air quality, noise, lighting, motion, and other environmental factors that influence risk throughout the workday. As our founder Gabriel Glynn shared in the article, workers standing just feet apart can experience very different conditions.
The future of workplace safety isn’t just about knowing when someone is in trouble. It’s about identifying changing conditions, emerging exposures, and leading indicators early enough to prevent incidents altogether.
Thank you to Inc. for highlighting the growing importance of proactive heat safety and the role technology can play in helping organizations better protect their people.
