Shawn Harrington, COSS, Client Executive

After growing up in Clarence, NY, Shawn attended the State University of New York at Brockport where he earned a degree in Business Administration Management. Since then, he has gained extensive experience in Sales and Business Development with both Fortune 500 and Early Stage Companies. Shawn is also a Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS).

He is no stranger to bringing innovative products and SaaS solutions to various business stakeholders including his most recent experience providing visual software tools for the construction industry. Prior to that, Shawn helped create new market opportunities through his active work with startup teams. He’s an alum of the Iowa Startup Accelerator’s 2015 Cohort and University of Iowa’s Venture School.   

In Shawn’s role at MākuSafe, he will help connect industrial organizations and insurers to the safety technology they need to help prevent accidents and reduce claims.

In his spare time, Shawn enjoys bowhunting, following hockey and taking on various home projects. He and his wife now live in Norwalk, IA, where he is the proud parent of a stepdaughter with a passion for horseback riding and younger daughter who enjoys outdoor adventures.
