How Wearable Tech Provides EHS Leading Indicators and Evidence for Safety Management Effectiveness
Workforce wearables can go well beyond biometrics and fitness. In fact, they can track usable data that’s relevant to both employee safety and the the environment around an employee–not solely the employees themselves. This data includes components such as environmental hazards, slips and trips, proximity, and near-misses—which in turn, provides a more complete picture of workplace risk. With this data, manufacturer, construction, and industrial organizations can gain real-time evidence-based insights enabling proactive and preventative hazard remediation ensuring their workers safety. In this session, Tom West will discuss the unique ins and outs of wearable technology, and provide attendees with insight on how they can help companies reduce risks and workers’ compensation claims.
