Innovating to Address Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs)
The 2024 Safety Innovation Challenge focused on finding solutions to the pervasive issue of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), which are the most common workplace injury, affecting nearly one-quarter of the global population. As part of the challenge, emerging technologies such as wearable sensors, exoskeletons, and computer vision were highlighted to demonstrate how they can reduce MSD risks in the workplace.
MakuSafe’s technology stood out as one of the three finalists, showcasing how their wearable solution offers organizations a powerful tool to monitor and mitigate risks associated with high-force movements, repetitive tasks, and other ergonomic challenges.
A Commitment to Workplace Safety
Every year, the NSC Safety Congress & Expo brings together the brightest minds and the latest innovations in safety technology. This year’s event was no different, with the Safety Innovation Challenge providing a platform for MakuSafe to demonstrate how its wearable tech can help organizations stay ahead of risks, improve safety, and reduce workplace injuries.
