MākuSafe Wins NSC Innovation Challenge 2nd Year In A Row!
May 13, 2026
We’re honored to share that MākuSafe was selected as the winner of the National Safety Council Work to Zero Program Safety Innovation Challenge focused on workplace fatigue!
After being voted by conference attendees as one of three finalists, Tom West represented MākuSafe in Friday’s Learning Lab session – delivering a live presentation and answering questions from a panel of judges in a shark-tank style competition on the Expo floor.

This recognition is especially meaningful as it follows MākuSafe also being selected as the winner of last year’s National Safety Council’s Safety Innovation Challenge focused on MSD prevention.
A sincere thank you to the other outstanding solution providers and finalists who participated in this year’s challenge. We’re grateful to have shared the stage with organizations working to advance safety innovation and protect workers.
Thank you as well to the National Safety Council, the Work to Zero team, and the McElhattan Foundation for their continued leadership and support of technologies that can meaningfully reduce workplace risk.
At MākuSafe, we believe better visibility into physicality, environmental exposure, and work-as-performed creates opportunities to prevent injuries before they occur. We’re proud to see connected worker technology continuing to gain recognition as an important part of the future of workplace safety!
