Senior Firmware Engineer
Job Description
- Develop, implement, debug, test, and maintain embedded firmware to control various sensors, a bluetooth module, and a WiFi module on an IoT device
- Develop test plans, product and technical documentation
- Create new features for future products, develop requirements, and translate them into products that can be taken to market
Qualifications
- BS/MS in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Experience developing, implementing, and debugging sensors (temperature, pressure, humidity, accelerometer, CO2, TVOC, etc.), standard embedded interfaces (I2C, UART, etc.), memory (Flash, etc.), and communications between devices (Ethernet, Bluetooth, etc.)
- Proven expertise in firmware development in C
- Familiarity using software development/test/debug tools (JTAG, SWD, etc.)
- Experience supporting products in the field
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ARM based systems
- Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy devices (e.g. Nordic)
- Experience with system level design approaches
- Experience with Raspberry Pi and programming on them with Python
