Description:

We are hiring a field technician to look after and complete the installation, service and maintenance needs of our customers. As a field technician, you will be required to travel to client locations, install new equipment, respond to service requests, troubleshoot equipment issues, and provide technical training on company equipment. The field technician will also be responsible for managing and maintaining the inventory of equipment and the company warehouse.

The ideal candidate will possess past experience working with technology and internet networking. Demonstrated ability to be self managed, solve problems independently, and manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines is a must. Top candidates will exhibit a passion for customer service and exceeding the needs of our clients. Meeting physical demands like climbing ladders and working in unique and diverse spaces is required. Ultimately, a top-level field technician efficiently manages all installations and service calls while providing high-quality service from start to finish. 

Responsibilities:

  • Travel – 50%; Office / Warehouse & Support – 50%
  • Installing and testing new equipment
  • Providing limited technical training on new equipment installations
  • Responding to customer callouts and field dispatches
  • Conducting routine equipment servicing out in the field
  • Inspecting and troubleshooting and repairing equipment failures
  • Providing preventive equipment maintenance
  • Maintaining hardware stock and installation tools in the company vehicle
  • Maintaining hardware inventory in the company warehouse
  • Inventory Management, Ordering and Purchasing
  • Level one tech support
  • Completing job and inventory reports

Requirements:

  • High school diploma ; bachelor degree, associate degree or vocational certificate in computer science, information technology or related field
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to travel and work according to a dynamic schedule
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Light mechanical and electrical skills
  • Ability to problem-solve
  • Good communication and training skills
  • Able to climb ladders, be on your feet up to eight hours or more and work with heavy equipment
