Cayden Codel, Software Development Intern

Cayden Codel

Software Development Intern

Cayden Codel grew up in West Des Moines, Iowa, and because he is so proud to be an Iowan, when the semester is out, he returns to his WDM household from Carnegie Mellon University’s campus in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he is a Computer Science junior. Since school is out, Cayden is now at home.

Cayden joined the team in May 2019 as a software development intern for the summer. His interests in functional programming, machine learning, and web development have given him plenty of tools from the classroom to apply and hone during his time at MākuSafe.

At CMU, Cayden is a mathematics tutor and a teaching assistant for a data structures and algorithms class. At home, he loves to read, tinker with code, and enjoy the pleasures Des Moines has to offer with his family and friends.

About MākuSafe

MākuSafe was formed by a powerful team of software, hardware and data engineers in an effort to prove that workplaces around the globe can be made safer by gathering environmental data around workers WHILE they work. Using analytics and machine learning technology we can turn that data into predictors so that accidents can be stopped before they happen.
