Tom West, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, COSS, Vice President of Marketing

Tom West is an experienced cross-functional business leader, consultant, and college instructor, with a successful track record of entrepreneurship, B2B marketing & selling, and establishing global distribution channels. As an HRCI Senior Professional of Human Resources and SHRM Senior Certified Professional, his extensive background in EHS, Risk Mitigation, Leadership Development & Human Capital is an asset. Tom is also a Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS).

Tom is a training industry veteran and over the years has held Senior Executive leadership roles with many companies providing learning & development tools, technology, and services. In 2003 Tom founded Agility Learning Group to deliver consulting & training services and has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Des Moines Area Community College teaching Management, Marketing, and Small Business Entrepreneurship for nearly 30 years.

Tom joined the team at the end of January 2018, after serving as an early advisor to MākuSafe. Tom is an avid sailor & flyfisherman, and lives in West Des Moines with his wife Tanya.
